Do you know what our students did for their NLP projects in this year’s Text Analysis and Retrieval course? Do you want to find out? Now’s the right time to do so!
The thing we love most about our Text Analysis and Retrieval (TAR) course are the student projects. This year, students tackled a variety of tasks, ranging from sentiment detection in tweets and text simplification to author profiling, and presented their work in a form of a scientific paper. We think that doing a TAR project is both fun and useful for students’ future careers, as building an intelligent text analysis system from scratch gives them experience they need to work in this field. In the end, they did a great job! 🙂
To get a better feel for what they did, make sure to check the proceedings of student project reports. We are sure you’ll find something that’ll pique your interest.
